Steps has been working since 1993 to promote gender equality, human rights and good governance by developing collective platforms of the organizations and community people at all levels. Through this process ,Steps links field experience and learning with policy level. Steps also gives its efforts to create examples at field level for replication. From 2003, Steps is implementing its program on Women,s Human rights issues through Gender and Development (GAD ) Alliance. Under the GAD Alliance 120 partner organizations are now facilitating and monitoring the process. and around 30,000 social actors including students are working to implement the activates. These social actors have developed learning collaboration with different service delivery institutions and community people.with these achievements Steps and GAD Alliance have been able to establish an image gender and human rights promoting organization that works through collective platform using social volunteerism and activism at national local and regional levels.
